Chairperson

His Excellency Sangay Dorji  from Chhukha Dzongkhag is the current Chairperson of the National Council of Bhutan. He was elected from amongst the Members of the National Council through a secret ballot in the first sitting of the 4th National Council on May 10, 2023. He was conferred the Dakyen by His Majesty the King in the Golden Throne Room at the Tashichho Dzong on June 6, 2023.
